Overall thoughts: I honestly thought that it was an interesting twist on love, it has colorful parts and I wasn’t expecting the turn that it took for a relationship. Most romance novels that you read are filled with sexy parts, parts to have the reader getting hot. However, they tend to stick to a couple, a “normal” relationship. Emily has no issues pushing way passed the typical romance in this sport romance story. It is a book that I couldn’t put down and loved almost every page. She brings polyamory (a form of ethical non-monogamy that involves committed relationships between two or more people) to a sense of wondering. It is not written in a confusing way or a way that makes you want to put the book down. Emily catches the love between multiple people all while showing how they work as a team just like the hockey team she presents the storyline around. I truly was in love with the characters and the paths she gave them all. This isn’t simply a story of people hooking up, but truly saving each other as they slowly take down the walls they have at up for years, while building a future that fits them. Support, Love, Care, and Respect fills these pages. It is a great read.

I will not lie though, there is a part with spitting that was just a huge turn off for the scene and just overall. But that is a personal choice completely.

One of my favorite quotes: “I see you, mun leijona. They see you too,” he adds, gesturing at Caleb and Jake. “You would brave any danger for those you love. Climb any mountain, leap from any clifftop. A love like yours is wild and dangerous. You need men who will not seek to harness you or break your spirit. You need men who will protect you. Who will provide a safe space for you to love as freely as your heart will allow. We are those men.

This is a series I plan to continue to read as it does go on to Pucking Ever After: Vol 1 (#1.5) & 2 (#2.5), Pucking Wild (#2), and Pucking Sweet (#3). It also starts with That One Night (#0.5) that I plan on reading. I have no doubt that this will become one I reread from time to time.

SPOILERS ALERT: Not Detailed but a Few Hints.
