Hi, it's me Elizabeth
I am a small town girl that never thought she would move from state to state. However, in the last twelve years I have lived in SC, HI, NY, AK, CO, and now Chris is headed to Washington.
I have been an Army wife following her husband and being anything from a farm hand to call center to nanny. My experiences have been diverse, challenging, and rewarding, shaping me into the person I am today. Each state brought different adventures and lessons, expanding my horizons and opening my eyes to various cultures and lifestyles.
Now I am looking to find myself and find my passion again while still supporting my loved ones. Balancing personal growth with family responsibilities can be tricky, but I am determined to embrace this journey wholeheartedly. I believe that part of discovering who you are is also recognizing the importance of those around you and how they influence your life.
A little about me, I grew up on a small horse farm in Maine and raised horses and German Shepherds/Collies with my mom. I played sports, road horses, took photos, and kept busy. Growing up surrounded by animals taught me responsibility and compassion; they were not just pets, but integral parts of my childhood that contributed to shaping my character.
I never thought that I would graduate college as studying was my least favorite thing in the world. Yet this girl finish an Associate Degree (Criminal Justice), a Bachelor's Degree (General Studies w/Psychology, and working on finishing my Master's in Human Service w/Crisis & Trauma Counseling. After that who knows, but I’m excited about the possibilities ahead of me. I believe that education should be a lifelong journey, and I intend to explore various paths.
Never bet against yourself because like me you could surprise yourself. I have no idea what my passions are; however, I hope to find them again as I embrace this new chapter.
I have nine animals, 4 dogs, 5 cats, and my mom's last baby horse (she's definitely not a foal anymore). They keep me busy, but they are my kids and I love them. Couldn’t imagine life without them. They certainly bring joy and laughter into my home, reminding me of the simple pleasures in life. Each of them has their own personality and quirks, and I cherish the moments spent with them. They teach me about unconditional love, patience, and the importance of living in the present. Those are some of the random facts.
Now my why for this website.......I plan to challenge myself more in the next year and will post about them. I envision this space as not just a platform for sharing my growth, but I aim to inspire others to realize that they can challenge themselves and reach new adventures or goals.
Wish me luck!
As I embark on this journey of self-discovery and growth, I know there will be ups and downs, victories and defeats, but I'm ready to face it all. Here’s to new adventures and the stories we’ll create!
